Serious or not so serious chili making…
People sometimes take their chili making skills very seriously. This is not one of those times. This is just an quick easy, chili recipe. It tastes great to me and the kiddos and the hubs seem to love it. That is really all I need when it comes to. Especially, when you are reaching for a quick go-to meal!
We all need quick meals that can still taste great and help all of us get through those cold winter nights! I just love chili! I have never even tasted an award winning recipe much less cooked one. So please no hate letters! 😉 Sometimes us mom and dads just need some quick meals. Okay, I like lots of quick meals. I also like to eat somewhat healthy and tasty foods. Meaning this might be the quicker way to make it but it is pretty tasty for cutting corners!

I listed the spices I use to season my chili with but I also make them ahead of time to save myself from having to stand over the stove too long. Check out Homemade Chili Seasoning if you would like to do this too!

I like to add just a dash of cayenne pepper, not too much because I cook for three little boys, but just enough to give it a little bit of oomph.
Speaking of spicing it up…
I hope that you enjoy this quick little chili recipe! I know it gets gobbled up at my house! Beans are big here. Most of the kids love beans, but we all love a little bit of spice.
My middle child will be the one to grab the hot sauce to spice up this chili first! When I was pregnant with him, I craved spicy food like crazy. I always wanted the buffalo chicken wings!
Eating spicy food was so far off from what I would eat usually. It was surprising to me when he was a toddler he loved to eat spicy food.
I thought my husband was crazy giving him something spicy. He said look at him, he loves it! He did too. He still does. He loves Cajun spices and hot sauce.
