I don’t know about you, but I love camping. What’s my favorite place to get camping supplies? I find the Best Camping Gear on Amazon, of course! I’ve built up my supply of camping items over the years.
My favorite camping item is my Coleman Instant Tent. It’s a giant tent big enough for my whole family, but it goes up really quickly.
Best Camping Gear on Amazon
Let’s talk about all the wants, needs, and must-haves for the best camping gear on Amazon.
Let’s do the fun stuff first!
Chairs & Tables | Best Camping Gear on Amazon
I love this idea for little kids! It’s a cot, but it looks like it makes a great chair too!
Lightweight Air Lounger – These things inflate and deflate in seconds! Forget hauling all those chairs that take up space, I’m thinking of getting several of these! Although, they are probably not good by the fire. 🙁
This oversized club camp chair, is super comfy!
This table is Collapsible & Insulated. It can hold some beers and a snack!
Kitchen & Cooking Gear
Coleman Folding Sink – This collapsible sink comes in super handy. It’s not necessary since you can wash dishes without a sink, but keeping sand and dirt off the clean dishes is easier this way.
If you really want to get fancy with your camp cooking, you can grab this Coleman Camp Oven!
Coleman Rugged 12-Piece Stainless Steel Utensil – We usually do a lot of finger foods while camping, but I do love a good camp soup. These come in handy when we have soup. I especially love the roll-up pouch they came with!
8Pcs Camping Cookware Kitchen Utensil Organizer Travel Set – Portable BBQ Camp Cookware Utensils Travel Kit with Water Resistant Case, Cutting Board, Rice Paddle, Tongs, Scissors, Knife.
Coleman Propane Stove – Definitely not a necessity, but it’s nice to have if you don’t want to cook over a fire.
Portable Kitchen – Perfect place to set the propane stove! You can also do dishes and prepare food in this portable kitchen.
Coleman’s 24 piece Enamel Dinner Set – I just love this set. It’s a great value for the set also. Sometimes it’s nice to have these packed in the camping gear instead of trying to find what you need in your kitchen as you’re packing.
The best pans for camp cooking is cast iron pans. Unless you’re hiking far away to your camping spot, then you should get the small lightweight pans.
You can also get a set of lightweight pans, great for backpacking and camping.
Over the Fire Pit Grill – Yes, you can just throw your potato wrapped in foil right into the fire, but if you are cooking soup, these grills come in handy for a place to put your pot and cook the soup!
Griddle – Forget making the soup, let’s make some breakfast!
Tea Kettle – A tea kettle is great for making stuff like ramen noodles, or for heating up water to add to your Mountain House freeze-dried meals, or just brewing some hot tea!
Percolator – I love these things. I actually broke my third drip coffee pot, and just pulled my trusty percolator out and used it for probably a year before switching to a French Press. I’ll never go back to drip coffee. Call me a coffee snob if you want…
Mountain House – Yum. Buying Mountain House products can help cut down on the food items you bring.
Marshmallow Roasting Sticks – We have to have s’mores right? Obviously, you can use some green sticks if you have a little bit of know-how. That is what we usually do, but I was able to review some of these roasting sticks and I approve of them. I love how they are extendable. I hate that I have to wash them though. Phooey!
Coleman’s Pop-up Trash Can – We used to use grocery bags, but that gets old really quick. It’s nice to have a travel-friendly trash can. Just remember not to put any food in it. A bear will destroy it!
This collapsible water bottle is great for when you are hiking into your camp spot, and you don’t need heavy steel water bottles weighing you down.
Lifestraw – If you run out of water, you’ll need, not want this Lifestraw product. I have one of these, and I would love to have several more!
Women’s Urination Device – Tired of squatting on spikey leaves? Using this device, even women can stand up and pee!
The Best Toiletries
Want to wash your clothes on the go? Grab this wash bag. Yep, that’s right!
Microfiber towels – Might come in handy if there are showers or a creek where you’re going. They’re lightweight and fold up small.
Camping toilet paper? – Yes! It’s a fast dissolving toilet tissue. It will break down much faster than regular toilet tissue.
Hanging Toiletry Bag – Perfect for holding your toothpaste & toothbrushes, and other bathroom supplies…
A portable toilet can help you avoid poison ivy on your behind.
Best Sleep Gear
Sleeping bag – This one is rated a low as 20ºF. A comfy sleeping bag is one of my favorite things to have while camping.
I have a couple of lightweight double sleeping bags. They work great for the fall weather in Florida. It’s pretty warm here most of the time. The kids don’t mind sharing, plus it cost less to buy 2 of these instead of separate bags for everyone!
This sleeping bag liner, is not only cute, but dirt-proof & compact!
Wool Blankets – If you are camping when it’s cold outside, a wool blanket is a must!
Memory Foam Camping Pillow – Forget the inflatable pillows! I can’t stand to sleep on those. Memory foam is where it’s at!
Air Mattress – If you’re anything like my husband you must have an air mattress!
Sleeping Pad – Instead of using an air mattress, you can use one of these!
Microfiber Blanket – You can just bring blankets from home, or you can get one of these special microfiber blankets. They don’t take up much space and are very lightweight!
Fun and Essential Lighting
Flashlight – I have one of these Streamlights and they are awesome! Not just any flashlight will do. You need something that can cut through the tree line or light up the tree.
A small cheap flashlight is fine when you are indoors, but outside there is so much more depth, it takes a powerful flashlight to cut through all that darkness.
I believe this flashlight is rechargeable just like mine. Mine also has the option of strobe lighting. There are many to choose from, make sure you get one that fits your needs!
Portable LED Camping Lantern with Ceiling Fan – I love the idea of having a fan. Sometimes when we camp it is hot, and the air in the tent is stuffy and gross.
Hang a line, and put some of these lights up!
Miscellaneous | Best Camping Gear on Amazon
Axe – It never fails, you’ll always need a couple of blades when camping. Especially, if you’re going off the beaten track. The link is to one of the best axes you can buy. A cheap axe is not worth any money you throw at it.
Tarp – Tarps can come in handy for many things.
First Aid Kit – This first aid kit is one that I received to review a while back. I have gotten to review a couple of different first aid kits, and this one is my favorites. It is lightweight and has just the right amount of supplies!
Portable Charger – Charge your cell phone and other devices while camping. I like to disconnect when I go camping, but for emergencies, I want to have a charged cell phone. Plus, sometimes it’s nice to use for music!
For a colorful fire, grab a couple packs of these…
Camp Clothes & Accessories
Put that camp hair under a cute hat.
Here’s another cute hat.
Sometime I prefer a simple headband. It keeps my hair out of my face, catches some of that sweat, and it looks super cute.
