I love the simplicity of this dish. Along with the blast of flavor. Sausage adds great flavor to just about anything. Putting potatoes and sausage together is really great. The sausage grease helps to cook and crisp the potatoes making them taste so wonderful and have a great texture! Cajun spiced sausage & potatoes are a kid favorite.

What Kind Of Potatoes To Use For This Recipe?

Typically, when I cook with potatoes I choose red or golden. I absolutely hate russet potatoes with a passion. They taste like dirt, they are usually super dense, and very difficult to cut.

Red and golden potatoes are softer, easier to cut, and they taste better. It takes a lot less effort and time to cut up softer vegetables. I’m all about shortcuts, working smarter and not harder.

I like quick, easy and delicious meals. Most of the recipe on my blog are quick and easy. Perfect for the busy lifestyle that we live. Quick and easy real food recipes are great for people such as parents, doctors, or other people who are super busy and don’t have much time to cook and clean.

What is Kielbasa?

Kielbasa is basically Polish sausage, made with just about any type of meat. It’s a staple in Polish food. Typically, in America we call identify Kielbasa with the U-shaped smoked sausage.

This sausage doesn’t only come in pork versions, it’s also often offered as beef, turkey, or a mix of the three. The other versions of lamb, chicken, and veal are not as easy to find in the supermarket.

They can also come in different flavors, such as spicy, herb, or garlic. I’ve tried most of the variations that I can find with this recipe. I tend to stick to the original pork or beef original flavors.

The spicy sausage is usually a little too spicy for the kids, especially when combined with Old Bay which is spicy too.
