Fermentools are a set of tools that we use to make ferments. It includes lids, glass weights, airlocks and more. This introduction to Fermentools will teach you how to use these tools, and we’ll share some really cool recipes too.
I wrote this post when I first started my fermenting journey. I decided it’s time for an update! I’ve used Fermentools and have been fermenting for years now.

Fermentools are easy to use. Add the contents to a clean Mason jar. Add glass weights if necessary.

Next place the red rubber gasket on the bottom of the lid. Place the lid on the jar, and screw on the ring.
Add the cream-colored gasket in the hold on top of the lid. Put your airlock together, and place it in the cream-colored gasket. Now, it’s ready to start fermenting!
