A popular recipe, that is great to take to family gatherings. Kids love it. Plus, it’s quick and easy to make.
So I have been making this salad for many years, but a few months ago I started to ferment some things. I pickled some carrots using Fermentools! I really had no idea how I would use it in a recipe, until one day I was making the macaroni salad for lunch and reached in the drawer for some fresh carrots and they were all gone. All I had was the pickled carrots. So, I gave it a try!
Tasty, without all the bad ingredients!
I put them in the salad, and Boomerang! It was awesomeness! Wow, it doesn’t only add a great flavor but the carrots are still crunchy. Providing exactly what this salad needed! Oh boy I was so excited! It gave me more ideas of how to use my ferments in other salads and things down the road. If you do not want to make pickled carrots, then feel free to use your fresh carrots!
A great little side to your dinner. Or, it could be part of your lunch. The kids love it, and so will you. It is pretty simple to make. I am a huge pasta lover. Maybe a little too much! 😉
